The Lunchroom | 28 October–19 November 2016, KINGS Artist Run

Throughout the month of November the Front Space of Kings Artist-Run will be transformed into a functioning lunchroom replete with kettle, microwave and water cooler for the public to come and take their lunch. Simultaneously The Lunchroom will host an exhibition of five artist’s works that poetically and critically reflect on social space, to think through the way it is formed and enacted. The artists’ works, comprised of architectural incursions, performative gestures, images and objects will tease at and unravel the physical and social facets of the lunchroom to question the architecture, features and performative facets implicit in spaces of respite.
