Tender gestures, loud voices brings together a group of Australian and International artists to signal a re-emergence into physical spaces of contact, collectivity and intimacy.
The exhibiting artists explore movement, touch, aural rhythms, and documented moments shared between friends, kin and strangers. The thudding soundtracks and tender photographs resonate throughout the space, overlapping and caressing one another, creating a rhythmic flow of image, sound and togetherness.
The artists in Tender gestures, loud voices provide an intergenerational and cross-cultural lens through which the politics of pleasure, joy and self-determination are explored. Together they signal the importance of physical connection.
